Welcome to the website for the River City Knitters, a knitting guild located in Richmond, Virginia. Site last updated 07/21/2008 July Meeting: Fix It or Forget It plus The Stash Raffle Vice-president Diane Gittin presided over our meeting, which included a special Show-and-Tell for our favorite knitting accessories, a group help session, and a cool stash raffle. Members of the group presented their problem knitting projects, and many creative solutions were suggested.   We then followed up with an awesome raffle of donated stash items.  (For the less-experienced, a "stash" is formed when a truly-addicted knitter begins to purchase more yarn than she or he can possibly knit in one lifetime.)  In addition to helping reduce our overwhelming stashes of yarn and patterns, we raised approximately $100 for the guild treasury.  A good time was had by all....

Two Socks on One Circular Class Ute Grzanna, co-owner of the local Knitting Basket, has offered to teach a special class at our September 13th meeting.  We will learn to knit two socks at one time on one circular needle (this is the equivalent of an event at the "knitting Olympics"!).  Click here to get the homework assignment, as you will need to bring some printouts and supplies with you for the class.  Note: This class will replace our regular meeting format and may run until 12:30 p.m. Iris Schreier Workshops in September Workshop registration is OPEN!!!  We can't wait to host Iris Schreier on September 20-21.
