April Meeting: Tips & Tricks
Renny Cave led the April meeting, as we all shared tips and tricks that we have used over our years of knitting. The BEST part is that she is now collecting our tips and creating a brochure for the guild. Thanks so much to Renny for this meeting idea and for making it work so well. We found that no matter how long some of us have been knitting, we can still learn from each other.
We also held our annual Stash Sale, and everyone snapped up bargains from the yarns and books that were donated. All items left at the end of the sale were sent to From the Heart for their good work.
The Knitalong Continues
The guild voted on choices for a knitalong and decided on the Vitamin D sweater. In case “knitalong” is a new term for you, a knitalong occurs when a group of knitters decide to knit the same project at the same time. Linda Martin kicked off the project at the December meeting, and the race is on. (Okay, it’s not really a contest….) Members show their progress above, as they work with the May deadline in mind.
