The RCK second annual knitting retreat at Graves Mountain was a wonderful experience, thanks to hard work by Beth Carter, Monet Whitson, and Carrie Eddy. Although it was overcast on Saturday, Sunday morning dawned with a beautiful sky. Danna Savage contributed pictures of the scenery below:

Saturday began with breakfast at the main lodge, followed by a book review. Knitters brought their favorite knitting books to review and showed knitted projects from the books. After lunch, the fun continued with a class on beaded lace knitting taught by Sue Hansen. Sue is a designer for Misty Mountain Farms Blue Ridge yarns, and she was accompanied by owner Linda Witt and friend Lynn Coppage.

After the class, the group shopped with several visiting vendors and enjoyed knitting together. All day, the group was treated to prize drawings for gifts donated by our generous sponsors. The now-traditional pajama party took place on Saturday evening, with refreshments and more knitting. See action shots of knitting below. Pajama pictures have been censored and are not available at this time....
