RCK Virginia Beach 2010 Knit-by-the-Sea
What a great time we had! We knitted, socialized, learned new techniques, shared knitting information, consumed large quantities of snacks, and created our Nuno scarves. The meeting room at the Comfort Inn had a lovely view of the ocean, and our guest instructor, Sue Von Ohlsen (Knitting Corner owner) taught a fun class on Shadow Knitting. She also participated on our "Ask the Experts" panel, along with members Fran Freimark, Barbara Moore, and Linda Martin. The creativity of our members was exhibited in the variety of beautiful scarves from our Nuno Felting session. We thank Marybeth Hawn and Katie Shuler for teaching us this interesting technique. Cathy Tyree did a fabulous job of obtaining knitting goodies to award with numerous drawings, and she contributed some of the pictures below.
